Albertus LeRoy Beeman, 83, of Swamp Road, Lonaconing died at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 24, 2014.  Born on May 11, 1930 he was the son of the late Albertus "Bertus" Beeman and Althea (Wiland) Beeman.

He was preceded in death by his wife Miriam (MacMillian) Beeman on November 1, 2000; half brother Woody Wiland; sister Hilda Jacobs; brother Odell Beeman; grandson Aaron Albertus Beeman and granddaughter Rebecca Lynn Beeman; brothers-in-laws Vincent MacMillian, Edward MacMillian, Herbert MacMillian and Richard Heithaus; sister-in-law Darlene Worthy and very special sister-in-law Joyce Heithaus.

LeRoy attended Central High School. He worked at various places throughout his lifetime as a mechanic, Alcola Research and Development Plant, Cleveland, OH, Sears Automotive, Exxon Service Station and Billy Bender's Chevrolet. He also worked as a School Bus Contractor and Driver for 50 plus years. He was a lifelong member of the George's Creek Church of the Brethren, Lonaconing. He was also a member of the Barton Fire Hall II Horseshoe League and a Republican National Committee member.

Dad was a very hard worker and enjoyed working on cars. He spent many Saturdays with family and friends in his garage.

He is survived by his children, Steve and Nancy Beeman of Elkton, VA, Michael and Joan Beeman, Rick and Kathy Beeman, Terry and Denise Beeman all of Lonaconing and Delsie and Richard Fazenbaker of Westernport; grandchildren, Jody Hall and Tucker of Bunker Hill, VA, Michele Colvin of Lonaconing, Rickey Beeman and Dana of Barton, Matthew Martin of Westernport, Mandy Abe and Eric of Cumberland, Crystal Weimer and Ronnie of Westernport, Danielle Garlitz and Daniel of Lonaconing, Terran Giuliano and Mike of Abington, MD, Miriam Dawn Conley and Daniel of Elkton, VA, Eric Beeman and Jessica of Barton, Travis Beeman and James of Cumberland, Stephanie Beeman and Zach of New Hope, VA, Clinton Beeman of Elkton, VA, Sydney and Allie Fazenbaker of Westernport and Bailey Elizabeth of Lonaconing; 21 great-grandchildren; sister Melva Reynolds of Ohio; sister-in-law Betty MacMillian of Avilton-Lonaconing; many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Tawnie.

Our Dad was so very special to our family. There was nothing he wouldn't do for us, even if he grumbled at first. He was so proud of each one of us and loved to brag about his kids and grandkids. He loved when everyone got together. There was lots of arguing, but lots of love. Dad spent the last 6 years fighting a horrible disease. Through it all he kept his sense of humor and always made us laugh. He fought through to the very end. He is at peace now with a clear mind and a healthy body. Dad, we love you and will miss you so very much.

He is also survived by his special nephew and best friend, Fred Loar. Dad and Fred spent many Wednesday mornings eating breakfast at Ponderosa with friends. And a special neighbor and friend, "Hoss" Morgan. Dad was like a father to "Hoss". He enjoyed weekly visits from both and those visits meant so very much to the family.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mark Durst officiating. Interment will be held at Beeman Cemetery Lonaconing.

Jill Boyd, Mishawn Vinci, Michele Colvin, Matilda Wilhelm were Dad's very special sitters. We are so thankful for the wonderful loving care he received from them. We love you.

A very special thank you to Hospice of Garrett County, Grace Bolyard and Mary Bernard. These two angels gave Dad so much love and gentle care. They made Dad's last few months comfortable and very peaceful. They both became like our own family and we only got through because of their love and care. We love you both.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Rickey, Eric, Travis and Clinton Beeman and his friends, Fred Loar and Charles "Hoss" Morgan.

We want your family to know that we are so sorry for your loss. Leroy was a good man and helpful to others. He was a very faithful school bus driver. Gerald rode the bus when Leroy's father was the driver. Leroy and Miriam have beautiful, loving children and we love you all. Our prayers are with you during this time and so wish we could be with you. Love and prayers to all. Gerald and Elaine

Leroy was my bus driver for many years. He was the type of person who was always there and willing to help with whatever needed to be done. Leroy is now at peace and is with God and his angels. Leroy, may you RIP. Judy Lovell
