Music by The Piano Brothers

Michael Metts, 56, of Midland, went home to rest with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Mike was a devoted husband and a beloved friend to many.

Mike is the son of Maxine and Marvin Metts of Midland. He is also survived by four brothers and a sister, Mark and wife Judy of Midland, Marvy and partner Joyce of Midland, Mitch and wife Linda of Lonaconing, Matt and wife Sherry of Finzel and Molly Metts of Midland. Mike also had many other close and special family members.

Mike was preceded in death by his first wife Alphrosine “Sine”, who went home to the Lord in 2007. Mike and Sine are now together once again in spirit; as they always have been in heart. Sine had two children, Cliff Mertz and Jessica Gank, whom Mike loved and cared for as his own. Cliff and Jessica’s children, Michaela, Zack and Zabastian were grandchildren of Mike’s that he deeply cared for.

In 2012 Mike fell in love again and remarried in 2013. He met Andrea Dicken-Metts and came to life again. Many plans were made and the couple was looking forward to spending many years together. Andrea had four children, Amanda, Lenny, Chantae and Ciara, that Mike instantly placed within his heart.  Spouses of Andrea’s childen include, Tamra Dicken, John Hawkins and Rusty Lease; whom Mike also cared for very much. He loved and looked forward to teaching the grandbabies, Rylan, Maddison and Talen all of the amazing skills he was blessed with.

Mike’s passion was hunting and fishing. He was happy and at peace in the woods and enjoyed spending time there with the ones that he loved.

Mike was also a 1977 graduate of Valley High School who went on to serve his country in the United States Army.

Mike was employed by Eaton Young Gallery Furniture for 30 years. He was incredibly and fully dedicated to his job, no matter how hard it had gotten. His biggest joy from his job was meeting new people.

Mike was an all-around kind, gentle, loving man who put his everything into all that he did. Mike will be deeply missed by all that were blessed to have known him. He will forever live in our hearts. We love you Mike.
