Music by The Piano Brothers

Eddy Ray Fairgrieve, 54, of Lower Georges Creek Road, Lonaconing passed through this life to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his home. Born on June 29, 1964 in Frostburg he was the son of Aubrey L. “Hogan” Fairgrieve and Mary E. (Donald) Fairgrieve.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Sarah E. Donald and James Z. and Maude E. (Green) Fairgrieve.

Eddy was a 1982 graduate of Valley High School. He was a truck driver for Fairgrieve Trucking Company, which his father Hogan started in 1979. He drove for 38 years, mostly to the power plant in West Virginia from the Buffalo Coal Co. He was known, by many truck drivers on the CB radio, as “Grapevine”.

He was of the protestant faith; he gave his heart to the Lord.  He will never be forgotten; his smile and laughter will always be remembered.

Together with his parents, Hogan and Mary, he is also survived by two brothers Thomas E. Fairgrieve of Lonaconing and Dale L. Fairgrieve and Kellie Shaw of Midland; many nieces and nephews and his canine companion Dodge Magnum.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2-4 PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Harold Smith officiating.
