It's with sadness and fond recollection as I pass my condolences along to Herb's family-as a photographer, I had the wonderful occasion to make repeated trips to the Klotz Silk Throwing Mill and always enjoyed chatting with Herb and appreciating his knowledge and depth of information. We connected a little bit due to his career in education and voc-ed specifically-I am still working at the Berks Career & Tech Center. The heart of the man was great! And through his various circles, he touched many! Blessings to all! We will long remember him!

Herb will be truly missed! He was a kind, gentle man and always willing to help us with stories, and ideas while we were photographing the mill. I enjoyed my time visiting with him as much as I did photographing in the mill. He had a vision, he really wanted to save the mill...I'm just sorry it didn't work out for him. God Bless him, I know he is at peace.
