Ann M. Spataro, 68, of Kaefer Acres Drive, Frostburg died Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center , Cumberland. Born on March 17, 1951 in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late John Steiding and Virginia (Mason) Steiding.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Richard Steiding and a brother-in-law Victor Baker.

Ann was a 1969 graduate of Valley High School and a graduate of the Tri-State Beauty Academy. Since 1972 Ann worked at as beautician in the area and most recently at WMHS Frostburg Nursing Home. She was a member of the Midland Sportsman’s Club “The Patch” and the Midland Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary for 35 years. She enjoyed watching wildlife from her back porch and flower gardening. She especially loved to spend time with her granddaughters.  

She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years Michael C. Spataro; son Lance Spataro and wife Karie; two granddaughters Bryli and Adley; sister Sue Baker of Frostburg and a nephew Eric Baker.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church, Midland. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing assisted the family.

At the request of the family donations can be made in memory of Ann to the Grace United Methodist Church at 19915 Church Street, Midland, MD 21532 or the Midland Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary at 14823 Broadway Street SW, Midland, MD 21532.

Our sympathy to Ann’s family. She was a wonderful person, a big part of Midland and a friend to many. She will be missed by many.
