Zachary Clifford Winebrenner, 36, of Lonaconing died Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at his home. Born January 8, 1984 in Cumberland, he was the son of Cliff (Sue) Winebrenner and Maria Winebrenner.
He was preceded in death by one grandmother, Margaret Chaney.
Zac absolutely loved hunting for mushrooms and digging for bottles. He was a member of the Crick Diggers and the Midland Sportsman’s Club. Some of his other passions were hunting and fishing, driving jeeps and riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. Zac had too many friends to list, but included are all of his prison guard buddies. His true passion though, was spending time with his kids and all of his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Joanna; two daughters, Alivia and Addilynn Winebrenner; one son Zac Winebrenner; two sisters, Beth (Chris) Francasso and Rachel (Aaron) Moore; one step-sister Veronica Ford; grandparents Arlie and Ellen Winebrenner; mother and father-in-law Lonnie and Linda Preston; brother-in-law Eric Preston; his loving stepmother Sue and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home P.A. Lonaconing on Thursday May 28, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 with funeral services being held on Friday May 29, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Charles Winebrenner will officiate.
Due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 virus, everyone attending is asked to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

Zac was someone I never heard a bad word about, who always had a positive outlook and always had an encouraging word for his friends when they were down or frustrated with a situation.
The last time I ran into Zac was some time ago, as meetings grow fewer and further between as time goes on. He was with Joanna and his beautiful children at Furnace Park in Lonaconing. We shook hands and spoke like we had just gotten in Curt Broadwater’s Mustang to ride home from school, as if time hadn’t passed at all. It was obvious Zac was in love with his wife, his kids and his life. He adored his wife and children, and wasn’t shy about making it clear! Zac truly lived while he was with us, and although time pulls us all further apart, I will never forget the good times we had, all of us, for our short time together. Zac will be truly missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Zac. He has always been such an amazing person. I don't think Zac ever met a person who didnt like him. I pray for Joanna and his kids, for Cliff and Sue and for his sisters as well.
I remember so many good time I had with Zac way back when, just chillin and listening to music with friends.
Memories are what will keep his memory and spirit alive.
I pray you find peace and comfort in thos terrible time.

I am so sorry your family is experiencing this loss. In this difficult time, know I am here to help in anyway I can. I have seen your son, Zachery becoming more and more successful in school as this year has progressed. The loss of his father... words can not express my sorrow for your family. I thank you for his work at the prison as a front line worker during this traumatic time in our history. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
