Marvin Thompson Llewellyn, 83, of Lonaconing died Monday, September 7, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland. Born September 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Cecil and Helen (Smith) Llewellyn.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lesta “Peach” (Eichhorn) Llewellyn of 60 years, two brothers; Samuel Llewellyn and Robert Llewellyn and wife Edith (Steele), and one sister; Rosalie (Llewellyn) Abbott.

Marvin was a 1954 graduate of Valley High School and earned a Master’s Degree from Frostburg State University.  He retired after 38 years in the public school system of which more than 30 were at Valley High School and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing, where he had held various office positions.

He is survived by two sons; David Llewellyn and wife Shanda of Swanton, MD and Kevin Llewellyn and wife Kay of Lonaconing, MD, one daughter; Lori Muir and husband Larry of Hagerstown, MD, six grandchildren; Taylor Fazenbaker and husband Caleb, Ian Llewellyn and wife Chandra, Katie Llewellyn, Eric Llewellyn and fiancé Brianna Broadwater, Hayden Muir and Dayton Llewellyn, three great grandchildren; Jaden, Brantley and Cole, one sister; Norma Byers and husband William, one brother; Gary Llewellyn and wife Val, two sisters-in-law; Edna (Steele) Llewellyn and Joanne (Shuhart) Eichhorn, one brother-in-law; William Abbott and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home P.A., Lonaconing on Thursday September 10, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing on Friday September 11, 2020 at 11:00AM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg, MD.

Memorial donations may be made in Marvin’s honor to First Presbyterian Church, 1 East Main Street, Lonaconing, MD 21539.
